Early Tuesday morning, around 8a.m., a construction worker spreading metal decking on the second floor of a building in Palo Alto High School fell nearly fourteen feet onto a concrete floor. A fatal accident on I-580 resulted in the death of a woman from Manteca. This incident reportedly occurred at 5:30p.m., due west of North Flynn Road. 24 year old Chelsie Encinas was killed in a collision on eastbound I-580, the Alameda County coroner bureau said. According to comments left on a story at the Pleasanton Weekly, the victim worked at the San Ramon Regional Medical Center. Further information has yet to be released.
Friday night, two separate motorcycle incidents in Antioch injured one and took the life of another. A 64-year-old bicyclist participating in race lost control of his bicycle on a decline and sustained a major head injury on Sunday.
